Ram encourages her to sign the contract, to which she replies that she has to remain single for the year-long assignment. Ram agrees to wait for her and promises to discuss this with his mother. Meanwhile, Priya observes Yuvraj with Alika, a sight that evokes a sense of sadness in her. Time passes, and we see her sharing time with her father before she prepares for work. Her father prompts her to have breakfast, and Yuvraj makes an appearance. Anju makes a snide comment about his rare presence before giving him and Priya privacy for their conversation.

Yuvraj confesses his love for Priya but admits that he seeks a partner who can support his ambitions, a role Alika has assumed. He reveals that he is set to enter a formal relationship with Alika.
